http://www.bigstuff3.com/gen3sefi.pdfThe next generation of high performance engine and transmission controllers is here!
The new Gen4 ECU has been built to address the needs of OEMs and engine research labs to provide an advanced computing platform for tomorrows production engine control systems.
Functional Features Include:
* 12ch current controlled fuel injector drivers
* 8ch ignition coil drivers or external 'smart coil' drivers
* Electronic throttle control inputs and actuator output
* 4ch Lambda sensors inputs and heater outputs
* 4ch Digital Signal Processor (DSP) knock detection inputs
* Inductive or Hall effect inputs for cam and crank sensors
* 4ch variable valve phaser inputs and outputs
* 16ch analog inputs for air temp, fuel pressure, battery voltage, etc.
* 8ch output
for fan speed, fuel pumps, air bypass, MIL lamp, etc.
* 2 ch transmission shaft speed inputs
* Torque converter, gear select and clutch lockup
for transmission
* 2ch high speed Controller Area Network (CAN) buses
* USB port for high speed data logging
* RS232 UART for diagnostics
Processing Features Include:
* 32bit floating point main processor @ 150MHz
* 32bit IO processor @ 75MHz
* 16bit safety processor @ 40MHz
* 2.5 MByte internal flash memory
* 235 KByte internal SRAM memory
* JTAG and trace ports for debug and calibration
* Support for Matlab Simulink, ETAS ASCET-SD autocoders
* Low level drivers for IO subsystem and BIOS in 'C' code
* Simple PC calibration and diagnostic software
* Optional 512Kbyte SRAM expansion
* Optional 2MByte Flash memory expansion
* Optional support for emulation device to support 'Hardware in the Loop'
* Optional Artificial Neural Network (AI) co-processor adapter card
The Gen4 system is targeted at those developers who demand the highest performance powertrain development hardware in a compact and robust package, which will run virtually any engine combination through flexible hardware and software. When used together with a model based control strategy and a 'C' code autocode generator such as Matlab Simulink a new ECU can be prototyped in a matter of hours.
Customers already include OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, Silicon vendors and research labs in USA, Germany, Austria, UK, Japan, Singapore and Russia.
